“Bim” Bernard Hanley, 70, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 8, 2021. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late William and Rita (Dehullu) Hanley. Bim served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, and retired as a letter carrier from the United States Postal Service. Bim enjoyed being outdoors and embraced Native American culture. Socializing and searching out antiques and uniques at tag sales was what he loved the most. He also enjoyed golfing with his best friend, Lew Wagner. Bim is survived by his daughter, Jessica Hanley, four grandchildren, Kaleb, Gianni, Joseph, and Ella-Mae; three siblings, David Hanley, Peg Saunders, and Bob Hanley and his wife Melissa; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Donations in Bim’s memory can be made to the Stafford Boys and Girls Club, 106 West Stafford Rd., Suite 1, Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
