Joseph H. Malo

Joseph H. Malo, 89, of Ellington, CT, and formerly of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021. He was born in Monson, MA, son of the late Louis and Bertha (Brunelle) Malo. Joe served our country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict, and retired as a purchasing agent from the University of Connecticut. Joe was a parishioner of St. Edward Church where he served as a Eucharistic minister. He also was a member of the Knight of Columbus Council #1395, Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, and the Stafford Senior Center. Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia (Foucher) Malo; four children, Michael Malo and his wife Beverly of Stafford Springs, CT, Lynn Johnson and her husband Clelland of Holland, MA, Diane Clark and her husband Daniel of Stafford Springs, CT, and Amy Nichols and her husband Ned of Branford, CT; nine grandchildren, Jared Murphy, Daniel Murphy, Matthew Clark, Aryanne Ward, Emily Clark, Delaney Johnson, Nolan Nichols, Grayson Nichols, and Spencer Nichols; and a great granddaughter, McKayla Murphy. His funeral will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021, with a procession forming by 9:00 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Friday, August 6, 2021 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
