Kenneth P. Greika
March 27, 2022
Kenneth “Kendog” P. Greika, traveled across the universe on Sunday, March 27, 2022 to shine brightly among the stars. He was born to the late Vincent and Phyllis Greika of the Staffordville section of Stafford August 8, 1952. A lover of astronomy, music and John Lennon, he spent many years observing, listening and collecting. His knowledge in these areas was unsurpassed. “Kendog” led a simple lifestyle. He was happy with very little and preferred a quiet, peaceful existence. Some might say he was a true hippie. He started his career in the historic woolen mills of Stafford Springs, CT, where he was given his nickname, “Kendog”. He went on to work at Carris Reels, in Hazardville, CT where he retired after 40+ years. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Henry, two granddaughters, Maya Henry of Uxbridge, MA and Zoey Allen of Ellington, CT, a brother, Gordon Greika (Sharon) of Stafford, CT, a sister, Brenda Greika of Montpelier, VT, and several nieces and nephews and their children. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Gregory Greika. Look upwards to the heavens tonight. The brightest star you will see will be “Kendog”. This star was named in his honor and will forever shine down on us all. Imagine. A calling hour will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 10-11 A.M., with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
