Katherine R. (Dombroski) Satkowski, 93, of Stafford Springs, formerly of Three Rivers, MA, beloved wife of the late Henry F. Satkowski, passed away on Thursday June 24, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Katherine was born August 31, 1927, in Athol, MA, daughter of the late Stanislaus and Elizabeth (Yetter) Dombroski. She graduated from Palmer High School, Palmer, MA, class of 1946. Katherine spent four years as a switchboard operator for AT&T, in Palmer, MA. Then, in 1952, Katherine married Henry and moved to his family home, in Stafford, CT. She then worked for Courier Citizen Co., as a biller, a substitute in the Stafford School system, and retired a clerk typist from Tyco. She was a communicant of St. Edward Parish, a member of Court Isabella #785 Catholic Daughters of America for 58 years, The Rosary Solidarity Group, Apostolate of Sick and Suffering, A Companion of St. Anthony, and a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. In Katherine’s spare time she enjoyed crocheting, trips to the ocean, taking family pictures, listening to Polish music, and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed her 53 years spent with Henry, watching UConn basketball, Nascar racing, Red Sox games and raising their daughters on the Satkowski Farm, and many special times visiting with their grandchildren. Katherine is survived by her four daughters and their spouses, Linda and Ronald Tremblay Jr., Diane and John Cichocki, Karen Satkowski and her partner Brian Norbut, and Laurie McKenney, all of Stafford Springs, CT; seven grandchildren, Rachel Woolley and her husband Wayne, Laura Peters, Eric Cichocki and his wife Caroline, Stephen Cichocki and his wife Elizabeth, Bruce, Katherine, and Richard McKenney, two great granddaughters, Kylie McClure and Fiona Cichocki; two step great grandsons, Nathan (Nicole) and Brandon (Natalya) Woolley, and step great-great grandchildren, Caleb, Aubrey, and Logan Woolley; a sister, Josephine Songer of Orange, MA; a brother, Charles Dombroski of Fort Meyers, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and many special friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Elliott and Joseph Dombroski; and three sisters, Irene Hamilton, Grace Masure, and June Cook. The family would like to thank Prime Health Care and Hospice for all of their support. A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Edward Church, 27 Church St., Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
