Max D. Remington, Jr., 88, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, December 19, 2020. He was born in Fulton, NY, son of the late Max D. and Mabel (Dight) Remington. Max was a United States Army combat veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Saint-Gobain, formerly Norton, having worked as director of purchasing and negotiations. His hobbies included a lifelong enjoyment of fishing and gardening. He was also formerly involved in community activities, Stafford Board of Education, Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Stafford, and the Stafford Springs Cemetery Committee. Above all, he enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his family. Max is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Carol Remington; four sons, Max D. Remington, III and his wife Mary Kay, Mark Remington and his wife Gwen, David Remington and his wife Suzanne, and Sean Remington; son-in-law, Al Klesczewski; 13 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Collins; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ann; daughter, Ruth Klesczewski; and sister, Helen Remington. Funeral services with burial in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately.
