A. Kunhardt's Obituary
Genevieve A. Kunhardt, 97, of Hydeville Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late William J. Kunhardt, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Blair Manor, Enfield, CT. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT on March 15, 1912, daughter of the late John and Katherine (Zulondz) Zuraw. Genny was the former owner of the Hyde Villa Pub for 28 years up until 1976. During that time she entertained many weddings, social outings, and polka dances. She then retired as a cook from the Mansfield State Training School. Genny was a member of St. Edward Parish, Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, V.F.W. Post No. 9990 of Stafford Ladies Auxiliary, Stafford Grange No. 1, and the Stafford Senior Center. Genny will always be known for her love to socialize, dance, travel, and play cards. She is survived by her daughter, Corrine Passardi and her husband Richard of Willington, CT; and three grandchildren, Noah, Abe, and Amber Passardi. She was predeceased by a daughter, Janet Hopko. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
