Agnes J. Fontanella's Obituary
On December 7, 2015, heaven rejoiced as Agnes "Aggie" (Vail) Fontanella was re-united with her beloved husband Tracy, daughter Patty, grandson Jason, siblings, and parents. A lifelong resident of Stafford Springs, CT, Aggie took great pride and joy in raising her four daughters, Patty Smith (predeceased), Kathy Seymour, Denise Dorman and Lisa Fontanella. She adored her sons-in-law, Dan and Leslie as well as her grandchildren, Jason (predeceased), Brian (Suzie), Rachel and Adam (Laura), and her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Emily and Rebecca. Her generous spirit was evident in how she loved giving to others. Through her crafts, she shared that spirit with those she loved. Whether it was painting a beautiful picture, creating dolls and wreaths, she put all of herself in her creations and took enormous pleasure in gifting them. Closely following the love she had for her children was her love of UConn Women’s Basketball. She was probably one of the only women (over the age of 90) who knew the stats for all the players. She showed her devotion by saying two rosaries each and every day with extra blessings for all who needed them. She was a member of St. Edward's Church and felt her faith deeply. A celebration of Aggie's life will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 with a Mass of Christian Burial to take place at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Home and Community Health Services, 101 Phoenix Ave., Enfield, CT 06082, or to St. Edward Church, 6 Benton St., Stafford Springs, CT 06076. Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., Stafford Springs, CT, has care of the arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.introvignefuneralhome.com
