I was Alberson's para in his kindergarten class. Alberson was full of life and always kept me laughing. He once told me he was going to be a doctor when he grew up and that he would take care of me. I believed him and I am saddened to see his life cut short. Perhaps there is a bigger plan for him. May he rest in peace.
I have had the pleasure of working with Alberson throughout his elementary years of school as he was in my enrichment classes. Alberson was always looking for a challenge in school and loved solving logic problems and coding. In grade 5, Alberson impressed the judges at the SES Invention Convention with his Picker Upper 2000. They awarded him the honor of moving on to the CT State Invention Convention finals. I am sure that Alberson would have moved on to Nationals. The amount of hours he spent working on his project, meeting with me, and researching coding techniques to make his invention work took true dedication and determination to succeed. He is a true role model to all in my eyes. Alberson, you had a gift and I feel honored and blessed to have known you and work with you over these years. You were the reason why I love being an educator! You will truly be missed.
