Albert L. Goodhall's Obituary
Albert L. Goodhall, 87, of Union, CT passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026 in the comfort of his home. He was raised in Eastford, CT, son of the late Wallace and Ruth (Fenlon) Goodhall. Albert served our country in the Army National Guard from 1959 to 1965. He retired after more than four decades as the service manager at Goodhall’s Garage in Union, and then was the co-owner of Mashapaug Trading Antiques & Collectibles with his late wife of 41 Years, Maddie, who predeceased him in 2019. He served the Town of Union for decades, both on the Board of Selectman and as a Justice of the Peace. He was a charter member of the Union Volunteer Fire Department, served as Deputy Sheriff for Tolland County, was a member of the Freemasons Fraternity, was former President and life member of the Holland Rod & Gun Club, and of the Ridge Runners Club. He enjoyed spending his spare time boating on Long Island Sound with Maddie. Albert is survived by his six children, Andy Goodhall, Tim Goodhall and his wife Cathy, Mark Goodhall, John Young, Jr. and his wife Sarah, Scott Young and his wife Jane, and Christine Spann and her wife Sophia; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Burial in Union Center Cemetery, Union, CT will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Union Volunteer Fire Department, 1049 Buckley Highway, Union, CT 06076.
