Albert J. Stann's Obituary
Albert J. Stann, 87, of Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Lorraine (Gilbert) Stann, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was born in Mt. Carmel, PA, son of the late Albert and Helen (Sokatis) Stankowski. Albert served in the U.S. Navy during both World War II and the Korean Conflict, and retired from CUNO as a general foreman. He was a member of Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, and V.F.W. Post No. 9990 of Stafford. Albert is survived by his two children, Pam Smith and her husband John, and Ron Stann all of Stafford Springs, CT; two grandchildren, Christopher Smith and his wife Sheryl, and Valarie Cartier and her husband Michael; and two great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Joshua Cartier. He was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Borselle. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 9 A.M. at St. Edward Cemetery, West Stafford Rd., Stafford Springs, CT.
