Alfred J. Gagnon Jr.'s Obituary
Alfred J. Gagnon, Jr., 79, of Vernon, CT, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Hartford, CT, son of the late Alfred J., Sr. and Donata (Barisano) Gagnon. Al had served in the Army National Guard, and retired as an anodizer from Hamilton Standard. He was a NASCAR and racing enthusiast, who loved working on cars. Al always kept himself busy taking care of family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie (Lechman) Gagnon; six children, Alfred J. Gagnon, III and his wife Claire, Steven Morlock and his wife Debbie, Kimberly Schiebel and her husband George, Christine Lindlau, Danielle Gagnon, and Amber Gagnon; seven grandchildren, Allison, Kelley, Nicklaus, Aiden, Johnathan, Damien, and Kieran; brother, Robert Gagnon; four sisters, Laura Gordon and her husband Bernard, Donna Mosley and her husband Keith, Theresa Gagnon, and Antonia Sowell; four step sisters, Nancy Goodrich, Barbara Gainsley, Shirley Herdman, and Grace Brown; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two siblings, Denise Abramenko and Thomas Gagnon. Funeral services and burial will be held privately.
