Alfred Sfreddo's Obituary
Alfred R. 'Freddo' Sfreddo, 90, of Stafford Springs, CT, beloved husband of the late Marion (Tierney) Sfreddo, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2009 at his home. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Francisco and Victoria (Panciera) Sfreddo. Freddo was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He retired from the Co-op food store as a meat cutter. He was a member of St. Edward Parish, Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, and honorary life member of the Italian Benefit Society. Freddo is survived by his two sisters, K. Irene Sfreddo and Ora Sfreddo of Stafford Springs, CT; along with his nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Nelson and Francis 'Bylo' Sfreddo; and two sisters, Gloria Sfreddo and Delma McGuire. His funeral will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2009, with a procession forming by 12 Noon at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 P.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
