Alice Adams' Obituary
Alice (Luchart) Adams, 96, of Westerly, RI, and a former resident of Stafford Springs, CT, where she lived most of her life, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2008. She was born on May 6, 1911 in South Willington, CT, daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Stross) Luchart. Alice was employed by AMF CUNO as an inspector/packer for several years before retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Stafford Springs Congregational Church, women's council, and deaconess. Alice was also a member of the Eastern Star Climax Chapter No. 98 of Merrow, CT, and member of the Senior Center's in Stafford Springs, CT and Westerly, RI. She was an avid reader, loved bowling, playing bingo, and cards. Alice, also known as "Mrs. A", will be sadly missed by her extended family, her friends in Stafford and Westerly, along with her treasured friends at Merchants Village where she resided. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses, and the entire staff on MCU-2nd Floor, Westerly Hospital for the excellent care and attention Alice and her family received. Alice is survived by her son, David F. Adams, Jr. and his wife Liz of Westerly, RI and formerly of Stafford Springs, CT; and a niece and nephew. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, David F. Adams, Sr.; and her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Madeline Luchart. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT. Calling hours are on Monday from 4-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
