Alice Spallacci's Obituary
Alice V. Spallacci, 73, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 6, 2013 while in Daytona Beach, FL. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Charles and Virginia (Avery) VanKleeck. Alice retired from the University of Connecticut as an administrator. "Hon", "Mom", "Noni", "Biz Noni" enjoyed watching her UConn Huskies, Boston Bruins and Red Sox and staying in touch with her many friends and family though Facebook and email. Once they retired, Alice and Butch spent their winters in Daytona FL, where they enjoyed the warm sunshine and time with friends. Back at home, she enjoyed sitting in her breezeway, looking at her beautiful flowers and watching the birds with her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Butch. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Nello M. "Butch" Spallacci, Jr.; two children, Tina Spallacci and Tony Spallacci and his wife Carol (Pippin); four grandchildren, Nicole and Stephen Spallacci, and Chrissy and Eric Bulakites; a great granddaughter, Brianna White; four siblings, Mae Belcher, Carol Bunker, Helen Ranta, and David VanKleeck and his wife Mary; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Bertha Spallacci; several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 5-7 P.M. with a funeral service to take place at 7 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the Alice V.
