Andrew D. Blatchley's Obituary
Andrew D. Blatchley, 66, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014. He was born in Middletown, CT, son of the late Sherman and Beatrice (Hodge) Blatchley. He had retired from Scranton Motors as a parts driver. Andy was a train fanatic. He always had the best time with his closest friends, his train buddies. He was a member of the National Railroad Association Nutmeg Division, and the Retired Train Association Group of Connecticut. Andy is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Irene (Roberts) Blatchley; two daughters, Tanya M. Blatchley of Enfield, CT, and Shannon L. Goncalves and her husband Miguel of Ludlow, MA; two grandchildren, Marcus and Viviana Goncalves; sister, Beverly Hanks and her husband Ronald of Elloree, SC; brother, Matthew Blatchley and his wife Donna of Monson, MA; brother, Paul Blatchley of Piai, HI; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 9-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Union Center Cemetery, Union, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
