Andrew Brndiar's Obituary
Andrew W. Brndiar, 94, of Willington, CT, beloved husband of the late Arlene R. (Pobuda) Brndiar, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Bridgeport, CT, son of the late Paul and Julia Brndiar. Andrew was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II having earned a Bronze Star Medal, and retired from the University of Connecticut as a maintenance foreman. He was also a member of the V.F.W. Post in Willimantic. Andrew is survived by his two sons, Andrew W. Brndiar, Jr. and his wife Ann of Willington, CT, and David A. Brndiar of Derby, CT; three grandchildren, Gary, Michael, and Andrea; five siblings, George Brndiar, Edward Brndiar, Esther Pelizari, Julia Brndiar, and Ann Day; and many nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 1 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Willington Fire and Ambulance, P.O.
