Andrew Ference's Obituary
Andrew J. Ference, III, 91, of Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Doreen (Reis) Ference, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Andrew J. II and Julia (Sorokey) Ference. Andy was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps ranked as Sergeant, and spent his life working as an electrician. He was a member of St. Edward Parish, Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion, and V.F.W. Post No. 9990 of Stafford. He was also an avid golfer and fan of the New York Yankees, New England Patriots, and UConn Basketball. Andy is survived by his two sons, Peter A. Ference and Donald J. Ference and his wife Susan; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brother, Raymond Ference and his wife Carol; sister, Dorothy Martin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Peter Ference; daughter-in-law, Sandra J. Ference; and two brothers, William and Francis Ference. His funeral will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012, with a procession forming by 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Sunday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
