Anita J. Julian's Obituary
Anita J. Julian, 95, of Stafford Springs, CT, widow of Hugo Julian, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Alfred and Argia (Bacchiochi) Ceppetelli. Anita was a social bug, and extraordinary waitress. She enjoyed serving her many customers at the former Maple Grove and Arizona restaurants. She began her serious gambling career, teaching her grandsons how to pitch nickels for prizes at the local fairs. Bingo and Mohegan Sun soon followed. Anita’s smile could be found at all the garage and bake sales. There wasn’t a bake sale she didn’t stop for. Though she was a savvy shopper in the cake department, her own home-made cakes were looked forward to by her family at picnics. Anita’s greatest joy was her family around the table at home, partaking of her famous pot roast or polenta. She leaves us with wonderful memories, and her favorite quote: “Life is what you make it”. She certainly did just that in her 95 years on this earth. She was a member of St. Edward Church, the Stafford Senior Center, and the Ladies Auxiliary at the Italian Benefit Society. Anita is survived by her two sons, Joseph “Jimmy” Julian and his wife Heidi, and Jerry Julian and his wife Penny; three grandchildren, James, Jeremy, and Jamie; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Guido Ceppetelli; and two sisters, Mary DeNadai and Mildred Tetrault. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Stafford, c/o Rose Roszczewski, P.O. Box 25, Stafford Springs, CT 06076.
