Ann Marie Richardson's Obituary
Ann Marie (Rose) Richardson, 65, of West Hartford, CT, was raised up into the presence of our Lord on September 13, 2015. She passed away at the UConn Medical Center after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Ann Marie was returned to heaven into the loving arms of her late parents, Lloyd J. Rose and Rita C. (Ballard) Rose of Stafford Springs, CT. Ann Marie was born in Sharon, CT on February 23, 1950, but grew up in Stafford Springs, CT. She attended Stafford High School and was a participant of St. Edward’s Church. She was employed, before she retired, as a Data Entry Specialist for Resource Group Staffing in West Hartford, CT. She also worked at St. Francis Hospital as a Medical Coder, for five years. Ann Marie was a fiery spirit who never met an argument she didn’t like. She loved to crochet and made dozens of sweaters and afghans for family and friends. She loved sports, especially the Patriots and UConn football and basketball, and could hit a baseball a country mile. She also enjoyed music and was the past president of Tom Jones International Fan Club. Ann Marie also loved animals, particularly her Beagle, Buddy. She also traveled extensively and saw much of our country. She enjoyed spending time with her family at numerous gatherings throughout the years. She will be deeply missed by her adoring family. She leaves behind her husband of 45 years, James J. Richardson of West Hartford, CT, her brother, James L. Rose and his wife Lynn (Groleau) Rose of Stafford Springs, CT, her brother-in-law Raymond Richardson of Florida, and her sister-in-law Diane Miller of Salem, CT. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, including James L. E. Rose and his girlfriend, Ariel Faith Aquayo, Allen, Heidi, Tanya, Van, Portia, Tiffany, and Tara and many beloved cousins. The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and support Staff at UConn Medical Center for their exceptional compassion in helping with care for Ann Marie and her family. We also thank Masonic Care for their support during this difficult time. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2015, from 5-7 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
