Anna Kafka's Obituary
Anna Lillian Kafka, 80, formerly of Coventry, CT, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Kettlebrook Care Center, East Windsor, CT. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Stefan and Anna (Sisolak) Kafka. She attended St. Edward grammar school and graduated from Stafford High School Class of 1949, star of the girl's basketball team, and head cheerleader. She also graduated from college in Boston and attended the Chamberlain School, a two year junior college majoring in retailing. Anna worked as a buyer for Steigers Department Store, and then as a service representative from SNET retiring after 20 years. She loved sports and travel: sailing, tennis, swimming, skiing, and traveling to Europe and along the coasts of the United States. Anna was predeceased by her two sisters, Betty Souza and June Hnath. She is survived by her seven nephews and one niece, Mark, Bruce, James, Paul, and Michael Souza; Donald and Stephen Barrows; and Darlene LaPointe. A calling hour will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 9-10 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
