Anne Becker's Obituary
Anne A. 'Bette' Becker, 93, of Pinellas Park, FL, and formerly of Willington, CT, passed away on January 20, 2008. Born in 1914, she spent her childhood years in Willington, CT. At age 19 she became a fashion model in New York City. Upon her return from New York, Anne was employed as an instructor at the Wilford Academy in Hartford, CT. Anne and her mother moved to Plant City, FL in 1956 to own and operate the Palm Court Motel. She retired in 1999 and moved to Pinellas Park, FL. Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Charlie Vosseler of St. Petersburg, FL; her brother Lawrence Becker of Willington, CT, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Frank, killed in action in World War II; her sister Adela Amidon of Willington, CT; and her brother Henry Becker of Hampton, CT. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 2 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT, will be private. Calling hours are on Saturday from 12 Noon to 2 P.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
