Anthony Costa's Obituary
Anthony R. "Tony" Costa, 69, of Stafford Springs, CT passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, MA. Tony was born in Palmer, MA, son of the late Bernard and Florence (Graham) Costa. He was a retired school teacher for the Stafford School System. He was a member of the Italian Benefit Society, having formerly been on the Board of Directors. Tony was an avid basketball fan and played for American International College. He is survived by a loving companion, Carol Delorge of Stafford Springs, CT; a son, Bernard L. Costa and his companion Maxine Putterman of Ellington, CT; a daughter and son-in-law, LeeAnn and David Walters of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Maxwell, Samuel, and Chance Walters; a sister and two brothers-in-law, Joyce and Carl Tassinari, and Michael Kelley, all of Monson, MA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Kelley. A funeral procession will form on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow at St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
