Anthony James Rufrano, Jr., of Willington, CT, formerly of Medford, MA, passed away on March 12, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his family. He leaves is wife Caroline (Ljunggren) of 53 years and two children: son Antho Read Obituary
Our deepest sympathy to the Rufrano family members. Tony was a member of our Postal Inspection Team in Hartford for more years than I can count correctly. A great friend and someone to count on when trouble hit. I am sorry for his loss to his family, his dearest friends, and those that knew and worked with him. We were blessed to have known you and will miss you!

Please know that I have been holding all of you in my heart in the past few weeks.
I am so grateful to have connected with Anthony after Pat's passing. His generosity of spirit at that time meant so much to me, and melted away the passage of time and miles since we were all together. His easy laugh as he shared family stories and his genuine love and concern for me and Brennan were so very welcome -- and needed.
I had looked forward to continuing those conversations, particularly as it looked as if he might have been finally out of the woods medically. The news of his passing was and continues to be devastating.
It is small comfort perhaps, but I like to imagine him and Pat having a grand time now, laughing and talking and catching up (maybe even with Julia and Tony in tow!). More importantly, I do feel their presence with us now, and know they will continue to be amongst us in our attempts to move forward.

My deepest sympathies on the passing of Tony. We played golf together, took golf trips to Florida, played cards, and worked together at Cedar Knob. I will miss his sense of humor and the many laughs we shared both on and off the course. But most of all, I will cherish the memories of a great friendship.
