Antoinette M. Carter's Obituary
Antoinette M. Carter, 95, of Cooper Lane, Stafford Springs, CT, beloved wife of the late Leo P. Carter, Sr., passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, December 25, 2009. She was born in Montreal, Canada, daughter of the late John and Alice (Bernier) Levesque. Antoinette is survived by her five children, Phillip Carter and his wife Gloria of Canton, CT, Lorraine Daigle and her husband Leopaul of Staffordville, CT, Leo P. Carter, Jr. and his wife Pauline of New York, Michael Carter and his wife Evelyn of Coventry, CT, and Roger Carter and his wife Lise of Stafford Springs, CT; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Levesque and his wife Jeannine of Massachusetts; two sisters, Theresa Orvis of Florida, and Helen Montgomery and her husband Floyd of Virginia; two sisters-in-law, Rita Screen of New Britain, CT, and Gilberte Carter of Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Lucien, Jeanne, and Betty. The family would like to thank the Home and Community Health Services Hospice staff for their wonderful care and support during mother’s final days. Her funeral will be held on Monday, December 28, 2009, with a procession forming by 12 Noon at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 P.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in Lower Cemetery, Langdon, NH, will be held privately. Calling hours are on Sunday from 12-4 P.M. at the funeral home.
