Arima Campo's Obituary
Arima O. Campo, 94, of Fiske Ave., Stafford Springs, CT, died Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Parkway Pavilion, Enfield, CT. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late James and Anacleta (Maggia) Campo. Arima retired from the Vernon school system and had worked as a business teacher in Connecticut for 38 years. She was the oldest living member of the First United Methodist Church. She played and coached basketball, and was a lifelong fan of UCONN sports and a booster of women's basketball. Arima is survived by a sister, Victoria 'Vivi' (Campo) Hatch of Stafford Springs, CT; a niece, Dr. Holly Hatch of Somerville, MA; a nephew, James B. Hatch and his wife Patricia Jennings of Whitefield, ME; a great niece and nephew, Jennifer B. and Sylas J. Hatch; and many cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at 2 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church, Church St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be private in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of Stafford, Arima O.
