Arthur F. Furness, Sr., 86, of Buckley Highway, Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Anna (Kowalyshyn) Furness, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Haven Health Center of Danielson. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late James Lees and Eva (Fregeau) Furness. Arthur was the former owner/operator of Furness Brothers Inc. Arthur is survived by his loving and devoted friend, Theresa Buell of Eastford, CT; two sons, Arthur F. Furness, Jr. and his wife Joyce Dombroski of Stafford Springs, CT, and Alan R. Furness of Stafford Springs, CT and his fianc Gladys Poynton of Prospect, CT; five grandchildren, Crystal, Jamie, Jodie, Amy Lynn, and Avery; two great grandchildren, Emme and Enzo; a brother, Everett Furness of Florida; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Furness and Rose Furness of Stafford Springs, CT; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Lees, Charles, and J. Thomas Furness; and two sisters, Evelyn Prentiss and Eunice Whitcomb. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be private. Calling hours are on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
