Arthur J. Houle's Obituary
Arthur J. Houle, 58, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021. He was born in Manchester, CT, son of Ronald C., Sr. and Susan M. (Cahill) Houle. Art was the owner and operator of A & H Excavation and Concrete and truly enjoyed spending his time inside his machines. He leaves behind many “Works of Art.” Art never stopped doing what he loved, and continued to play in his excavator well after his friends and family told him to sit down and relax. Art knew that he was skilled at his trade, and never hesitated to offer his help to anyone who needed it. He often traveled to many job sites a day so that he could help out a buddy. Those who were lucky enough to be loved by Arthur knew he was someone you could count on, and that he was genuinely happy to help. When he wasn’t digging holes or fixing machines Art could be found spending time with his friends and family whom he loved truly and deeply. Coffee with Pop was the best beginning to any day. His pride for his family was obvious by the stories he would tell to anyone who would listen. Reuniting with daughter Rachael was the greatest highlight of recent years and brought the biggest smiles. Cape Cod always held a special place in Art’s life, and for many years he enjoyed getting out on the dunes at Race Point – going to his paradise. Weekends spent grilling cherrystones out on the dunes with his wife Karen, and occasionally Taylor, Nathan, and their dog Boomer, was something Art treasured. Wherever he traveled, Art made friends with his famous greeting “Hey Chachi!” He was instantly loved for his goofy and warm personality, and love for life. He found happiness in the simplest things in life, and rarely complained about much besides the weather. Besides his parents, Art is survived by his loving wife, Karen Vaiciulis; four children, Lindsey A. Johnson, Rachael Collette Houle, Taylor and Nathan Burton; three siblings, Ronald C. Houle II and his partner Stephanie Irving, Lynette Arruda, and Renee Garrahy and her husband T.J. Arthur was blessed with lots of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Arthur was predeceased by his younger brother, Richard Houle. The family would like to extend the warmest gratitude and respect to everyone at Hartford Hospital but especially Tiffany W. for all the comfort and care given to Arthur during his battle. And Thank You Renee – for everything. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 4-6 P.M., with a prayer service to take place at 6 P.M., at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to the Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Stafford, Richard Houle Fund, P.O.
