Arthur Mitchell's Obituary
Arthur Mitchell, 72, of Sturbridge, MA, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 after a long illness. His wife Vera Mitchell died in 2007. He leaves a sister, Antoinette M. Dupre of Southbridge, MA; a brother, Peter Mitchell of Sturbridge, MA; along with several nieces and nephews. He also leaves two stepsons, Wendell Kilcollins and his wife Carol, and Barry Kilcollins and his wife Cheryl; a brother-in-law, Bert Davis and his wife Carol; and two sisters- in-law, Arlene and Alberta, all of Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Southbridge son of the late Ralph and Kleanthi (Marango) Mitchell. Arthur was a member of the Quinebaug Lodge and Doric Royal Arch Chapter of Masons in Southbridge, MA. He was also a member of the Melha Shriner’s of Springfield, MA, serving as Ambassador for many years. He also served as past president of Central Shrine Club, chairman of Melha Shriner’s with the Massachusetts State Police Boxing Team, and was a member of Teocalli 269 Shrine Club. There will be no calling hours. His funeral will be private with burial in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
