Barbara Cooley's Obituary
Barbara E. Cooley, 84, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at her home with her family. She was born in Somers, CT, daughter of the late Roderick and Ethel (Hughes) Spencer. Barbara had last worked at the Stafford Food Center in the deli and produce departments. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she was a past matron, and member of the Strazza, Tonoli-Emhoff Post No. 26 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Her hobbies included painting, ceramics, and chair caning. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Carroll D. Cooley, four children, Carroll "Buck" Cooley and his wife Ronalyn of Enfield, CT, David Cooley and his wife Barbara of Tolland, CT, Walter Cooley of Enfield, CT, and Linda Rowe and her husband John, Jr. of Stafford Springs, CT; four grandchildren, Meghan Gagnon, Caitlin Cooley, John Rowe III, and Chris Rowe; great grandson, Ian Reiprich; sister, Jeanne Hoffman of New Port Richey, FL; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 2 P.M. at West Stafford Cemetery, West Stafford Rd., Stafford Springs, CT.
