Barbara Kellem's Obituary
Barbara Lucile Kellem, 74, of Stafford, CT, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 7, 2023. Barbara loved her family and was married to Roy, the love of her life, for nearly 55 years. Born on April 29, 1949 to the late Warren and Beatrice (Schweitzer) Bradway, she was proud to call Stafford her lifelong home. During her secretarial career, Barbara worked for Pratt & Whitney, Uniform Printing, and finished her career spending 26 years with the Town of Tolland. After a well-earned retirement, Barbara was a model of strength and humor in recovery from traumatic brain injury, always ready with a joke or a winning presence at family game night. Her laugh was loud and contagious. She loved reading, puzzles, the Boston Red Sox, UConn Women's Basketball, and will be remembered for her spirited and determined courage and kindness. In addition to her devoted husband, Roy Kellem, Barbara is survived by her son, Chris and his wife Betsy, and their daughter - her beloved granddaughter - Isabel, sister, Judy DelBene and her husband John, sister, Linda Sprague, and a wide and loving group of extended family and friends. Barbara was predeceased by her infant daughter, Cathy. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday July 11, 2023 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Funeral services will be held graveside on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 11:30 AM at West Stafford Cemetery, 15 Chestnut Hill Rd., Stafford Springs, CT. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
