Benjamin Neff,'s Obituary
Benjamin W. Neff, Sr. "Bumpa", 74, of Tolland, CT, husband of the late Mildred (Janiak) Neff, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012. He was born in Tolland, CT, son of the late Ellery, Sr. and Doris (Carpenter) Neff. Ben was employed at the Stafford Printers, Johnsons, and Linatex, all of Stafford Springs. He retired thirty years ago into clock repair. He became a Clock Master, at times repairing clocks sent to him from Europe. He was also a talented musician. He played the trumpet and saxophone along with his father and grandfather in their band, Neff's Sawmill Gang. Ben is survived by his four children, Rebecca Bacha and her husband Richard, Benjamin W. Neff, Jr. and his wife Sue, Nancy Neff and her former husband Melvin Bacha, and Linda Neff and her husband David Provencher; six granddaughters, Summer Ray, Jacqueline, Angelique, Olivia, Hanna, and Ann; six great grandchildren; sister, Elsie Greaves; sister-in-law, Mary Neff; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ellery Neff, Jr.; and son-in-law, William Shields. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A graveside service will take place on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11 A.M. at Stafford Springs Cemetery, Monson Rd., Stafford Springs, CT. Memorial donations may be made to Tolland Ambulance, P.O.
