Bernie and I worked together at Camp Lejeune N.C. We had a lot of laughs. He was a good friend during that time. Very caring person. And very funny.

Bernie loved his CT Tigers and we attended many baseball games together over the last 10 years. During the off season we would go to Mitchell's for breakfast every other Thursday.. It was always great fun being with Bern...many laughs and good times. I miss him dearly!!
To Sis, I was saddened to learn of “Brob’s” passing. You have my deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Dianne Magrone, Naples, FL

To Bernie's Family, I am deeply sorry for your loss, he was one of God's brightest candles. Bernie was a mentor and A friend to me for many years, I first met him through his sister Bernice 18 years ago, I was a young man 12 years old without a positive male influence in my life. Bernie came along and took time every week to get to know me, to discuss what was going on in my life, with schooling and any troubles or challenges I was going through. We would have many conversations that helped me through days. He was more then just a mentor and a friend but my guardian angel through those years, we shared many good memories especially with attending baseball games together in Norwich Ct. Bernie always had time for me when I needed someone to talk to, he helped me with my faith in God and in life. Without this man I would not be in the position I am today. He was truly a saint.
Bernie I love you and miss you already my friend.

I remember Bernie (2 years older than me) and Sis because I always looked up to them. Sis and I played basketball together at some point. I feel a world away sometimes from those times and places. My heart and prayers go out to their family at this time.. Glad I had people to "look up to." People who are in our lives are there for a reason. Liz Sartori ("Betty")
I love you Brob.
