Betty Ragna's Obituary
Betty T. Ragna, 77, life long resident of East Hartford, CT, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Hinsdale, New Hampshire, daughter of Marion (Barnes) Tobey and the late Ralph Tobey. Betty retired from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft after 32 years of employment, and was a member of the South End Senior Center in East Hartford. She enjoyed reading, bingo, gardening, and cooking, but her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Beside her mother, Betty is survived by her daughter, Joy Girard and her husband Norman of Stafford Springs, CT; two sons, Charles Ragna and his wife Lynnette of Orlando, FL and Roy Ragna and his wife Irene of East Hartford, CT; seven grandchildren, Lisa, Taylor, Nicholas, Kimberly, Samantha, Kenneth, and Jessica; a great-grandchild, Samari; five siblings, Edith, Carl, Francis, Barbara and Beverly; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Bale-e. She also leaves many dear friends including all her friends at the South End Senior Center. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 1-2 P.M. with a funeral service to take place at 2 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to the South End Senior Center, 70 Canterbury St. #1, East Hartford, CT 06118. The family would like to thank doctors Chawla and Lahiri, as well as the CICU Staff at St. Francis Hospital for the care that was provided to Betty.
