Billie Mae Basham's Obituary
Billie Mae Basham, 77, of Stafford, CT, wife of the late David Basham, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Born in Stafford, CT, she was the daughter of the late William and Phyllis (Sibley) Donlon.
Billie worked for many years as a bartender and was well known for her warm personality and welcoming spirit. She had a passion for crafts and antiquing, and at one time proudly owned and operated her own antique store. Billie also had a special love for animals, especially her faithful dog and companion, Quinn. Above all else, Billie treasured her family. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride throughout her life.
Billie is survived by her granddaughters, Sara Kraft of Texas and Alyssa Charland of South Carolina; and her great-grandchildren, Oliver, Charlotte, and Stella. In addition to her husband, Billie was predeceased by her son, Raymond Charland, Jr.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to family, and the kindness she shared with all who knew her.
