Billy Joe Davis' Obituary
Billy Joe Davis, 81, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026. Born on June 30, 1944, in Anderson, South Carolina, Billy lived a life full of love and dedication to his family and friends.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. His time in the military was a testament to his courage and commitment to protecting others. After his service, Billy continued to embody these values throughout his life.
Bill was married to the love of his life, Susan Davis, for 55 wonderful years. Together they built a home filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. They enjoyed visiting family and celebrating special moments and holidays together.
Billy is survived by his daughters Tina Davis and Tammy Foss; son Troy Davis; daughter-in-law Cheryl Davis; granddaughters Emily Davis, Madison Hamblen, Rebecca Davis, and Hanna Davis; sisters Shirley (Gordon) Geer and Liz (David) Adams; brothers Lonnie (Judy) Davis and Roger Davis; sister-in-law Lisa Davis; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife Susan Davis; son Jason Davis; parents Lonnie and Florence Davis; father-in-law Raymond Baxter; mother-in-law Priscilla Baxter; brother Tommy Davis; brother-in-laws Michael Baxter and Michael Bournique; and sister-in-law Karen Philbrook.
Bill was known for his generous spirit and kind heart. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends, neighbors, or family members in need. His warmth and humor made him a joy to be around. Bill loved “shooting the bull” with whoever would listen. He was a big kid at heart. Bill especially adored his granddaughters and treasured every moment spent with them.
His legacy of kindness and love will live on through those who were fortunate enough to know him. Bill will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by many. May he rest in peace.
Memorial to be held at Introvigne Funeral Home at 51 E Main St, Stafford Springs, CT 06076 on June 27, 2026 at 11am.
