Carl Mattesen's Obituary
Carl S. Mattesen, 83, of East St., Stafford Springs, CT, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT. He was born in Stafford Springs, CT, son of the late Andrew and Elsie (Rockwell) Mattesen. Carl was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. He retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation as a parts manager. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a life long 7th degree member of the Stafford Grange. Carl is survived by several cousins and nieces, a nephew, and many friends. He was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Mattesen and Evelyn DaDalt, and a brother, Louis Mattesen. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2006 at 10 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
