Jody, Donald, Maureen, Skyley, Chase and Mitchell,

I am so sorry for your loss. I loved Carol, we worked together every day for about 12 years and I have so many memories, most of them make me laugh!!
She was the best! I will miss her so much, I just cant believe it.....Carol was one of strongest women I have ever known with so many things to do yet.
She was a big influence to me and encouraged me to get "into my painting", then she would have me bring them in and critique them for me. The annual Cookie Swap, every Christmas, was great too...we would spend a week deciding what kind of cookie to make, how to package it real pretty and spend the day of - sampling all our goodies!! Not a lot of work got done that day!!
The stories were non-stop. I loved hearing about the entire family and all the excursion they had been on or had planned. Carol couldn't have been more proud of her family or loved her Grandchildren more.
I will miss my Dear Friend.....My prayers are with you and your family. May your memories help get you through!!

Jody, Donald, Maureen, Skyley, Chase, Mitchell, and all of Carol’s family…

I had the pleasure of working with Carol when she was the Clerk of the Stafford Probate Court. She had a way of making each day a bit brighter and happier for all of us employed in the Town Hall. She was the absolute perfect person for that job… her compassion was felt by everyone, her sincerity and patience a wonderful gift to those who crossed her threshold, many in the throes of grief and confusion. She made every client feel that they could entrust to her their most personal and private matters, knowing that she would shepherd them through the confusion and paperwork.

Carol would enter a room and when she left, we were all laughing. Her travel adventures left us longing to pack a bag. Her food items and recipes were sought after at our employee gatherings. She could recall so many stories and tales that at a party, everyone would gravitate to her. No one loved the annual holiday cookie exchange more as she continued to participate long after she retired. I remember fondly when she attended a party at my house on the lake…she arrived by canoe…standing up… we were all certain that she would fall overboard as she was struck by a fit of laughter.

Her favorite topic was her family… we saw so clearly the loving bond of her marriage, the pride that she felt for her sons, her affection for Maureen, and the wonderful gift of her grandkids, the lights of her life.

I will miss her visits, and the fun times we had, but I am so lucky to have known this wonderful woman and call her my friend.
