Carol (Rioux) Jocis' Obituary
Carol Sukup (Rioux) Jocis, 71, passed peacefully into the arms of our Lord, in the presence of her loving family at St. Francis Hospital on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. She was born on September 13, 1938 to the late Helen (Zuraw) and Stephen Sukup in Stafford Springs, CT, where she lived her entire life. She was employed by North American Printed Circuit / Tyco for 20 years before retiring in 2000. Carol was known to those who loved her for her outgoing, loving and generous character. A passionate and talented Polka dancer, she was admired for her style, charisma and endurance on the dance floor. Family and home were always the central focus of her life. She will always be remembered for her impeccable appearance, creative flair for decorating, and for making a house a home with her personal touches and the creation of treasured, knitted afghans and braided rugs. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Albin Jocis of Stafford Springs, CT; and her adoring children and their spouses, David and Donna Rioux of West Hartford, CT, Robin and Glenn Brand of Windsor, CT, and Joyce and Reed Fenhaus of Rotonda West, FL. She also leaves behind her two beautiful granddaughters Nichole and Brianna Rioux; and her precious kitty, Jazzy. The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thanks to the dedicated nurses and staff on the Congestive Heart Failure unit and the Palliative Care team at St. Francis Hospital who provided us with such understanding and support during this difficult time. Calling time will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 10:30-11 A.M. with a memorial service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
