Caroline Aborn Skinner Howe's Obituary
Caroline Aborn Skinner Howe, 83, of Winter Garden, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Daughter of the late Everett W. Skinner and Ann J. (Manice) Skinner, she was raised in Ellington, CT, attended the University of Bridgeport and Columbia Teachers College, and went on to teach physical education in the Bayport-Blue Point School District in New York for many years. A longtime resident of West Sayville, Long Island, NY, Caroline loved to travel. She went camping all over the US, including Alaska, she traveled to Europe and China, and she probably put a million miles on her car driving up and down the East coast to visit friends and family. Caroline accepted Christ as her savior at a Billy Graham crusade in 1957.
Caroline is survived by her daughter, Caroline L. Siden and her husband Gunnar; her son Ralph B. Howe and his wife Melinda; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel, Ann-Elise, Matthew, Riley, Amanda, Jonah and Abigail; her sister-in-law, Patricia Skinner; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, twin brother Collins Skinner, William Skinner, Everett Skinner, and Chrystal Ann Montgomery.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 from 10 – 11 A.M., with her funeral service beginning at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc, 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
