Catherine Hipsky's Obituary
Catherine H. Hipsky, 96, of Furnace Ave., Stafford Springs, CT died Friday October 6, 2006 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. She was the widow of the late Andrew Hipsky, Sr. who died in 1985. Catherine was born in Newark, NJ the daughter of the late Paul Sr. and Susan (Hornacek) Halchek. She was a retired food service worker for the University of Connecticut, a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, a member of the United Lutheran Society, and a former member of the Willington Senior Center. Catherine is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law Andrew P. and Geraldine Hipsky, Robert A. and Caroline Hipsky all of Willington, CT; 2 daughters and sons-in-law Dorothy C. and Leo P. Tonoli of Stafford Springs, CT, Audrey and Joseph Giampapa of South Carolina; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a sister Amelia Burdick of Willimantic; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by 6 brothers Joseph, Sam, Steve, George, Paul, and John Halchek, and a sister Susan Urda. A funeral service will be held Monday October 9, 2006 at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main Street, Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Moose Meadow Cemetery, Willington, CT. A calling hour will be held from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
