Charles Gardner's Obituary
Charles A. Gardner, 88, of Hyde Park Rd., Stafford Springs, CT, beloved husband of the late Constance G. (Durand) Gardner, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. He was born in Milford, ME, son of the late Charles and Delia (Couthier) Gardner. Charles was a U.S. Army career veteran having served during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He then went on to retire from CUNO as a machinist. Charles was a member of St. Edward Parish and lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post in Tolland. Charles is survived by his two children, Christine Estell and James Gardner; seven grandchildren, Corina, Leon, and Amanda Estell, Tasha Gardner, Jeremy Laviolette, and Lorelei Silvay and her husband Michael; four great grandchildren, Merisah and Emma Silvay, and Bryse and Eva Estell; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers and six sisters. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Friday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
