Charlotte Cichocki's Obituary
Charlotte (Surdel) Cichocki, 84, beloved widow of Boleslaw "Bill" Cichocki who died June 1987, and mother of Stanley Cichocki who died October 2005, went to the Lord on July 9, 2006. She was the daughter of the late John and Blanche (Grygiel) Surdel. Charlotte worked part time for many years as a waitress for her brothers' former business, Crystal Lake Restaurant. She also worked at LaPointe Industries in Rockville where she established many friendships. Charlotte was a good homemaker and mother to her six children. She also loved to do word searches, scan the news, tat, and follow UCONN basketball. Charlotte centered her life around her family. She is survived by daughters Teresa West, Mary and David Potash, Irene and Jim McNickle, Elizabeth and Kevin Duffee; son John and Diane Cichocki; and daugher-in-law Joanne Cichocki. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Patricia and Tony Grainger, Michael and Tracey West, Jason and Julia Barone-Cichocki, Eric Cichocki, Brian Duffee, Stephen Cichocki, Lauren McNickle, and Daniel Duffee. Also, great grandchildren Cody and Kyle Grainger; her godchild Regina Surdel; two brothers, Joseph and Frank Surdel; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by a brother Edwin Surdel. The family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Wasser, Catherine Lombardi, and all the staff at the DeQuattro Cancer Center, Dr. James O'Brien, Dr. Rajeer Attam, and Dr. Eleas Chafouleas, as well as the staffs at Rockville General and Manchester Memorial Hospitals for their wonderful care of our mother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT.
