Chester W. Kology's Obituary
Chester W. Kology, 97, of Stafford Springs, CT, husband of the late Lorraine L. (Christensen) Kology, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was born in Galletzin, PA, son of the late John and Pauline (Ciscon) Kology who raised their family in Stafford Hollow. Growing up, Chet raised and sold rabbits, rode motorcycles, played ice hockey on the pond with his brothers and best friend Jim Vail, and together they survived many happy boyhood adventures. Chet flew 36 bombing missions during World War II as a tail gunner with the 486 Bomb Squad. In early years, Chet worked as a weaver at Warren Woolen Company and later as a tool maker at various machine shops in Connecticut and Massachusetts. With a large family, Chet was always busy and prepared to offer wisdom and manpower to any projects. Chet is survived by his five sons and their spouses, Todd and Diane, Jason and Karen, James and Sally, Brian and Nanette, and Russell and Diane; grandchildren Jeffrey and Meghan Kology, Michael Kology, Kelly and Jon Foster, Deanna and Christopher Ielmoni, Stacey and Mike Page, Kristin Kology, Melissa St. James, and Kevin, Nathan, Heather, Wayne, Cole, and Haleigh Kology; numerous great grandchildren; sister Pauline Bovin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, David Kology; and grandson, Christopher Kology. His funeral will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014, with a procession forming by 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Edward Church, High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
