Most notably was her dedication to her grandson Mason’s football games in Tolland, attending in all weather conditions to see him play. Christal was also an avid baker. Well known for her famous cookies, cheesecakes, and bars, she never showed up to a family event without an array of goodies. They even earned her the nickname Auntie Cookie by some of the littlest great-nephews. Christal also loved to buy her grandkids outfits for all the holidays. She also had a special love for dogs and loved being a dog-sitter for her sister Janice’s dogs, especially Toby. Christal loved country music and attended many concerts over the years. In 2018, she started her courageous battle with breast cancer. Despite years of treatment, she never complained and carried on living life to its fullest. Christal is survived by her three children, Michael D. Pease, Jr. and his partner Kara Trosen, Jonathan Pease and his wife LaDonna, and Amber Bouley and her partner Bob Burrows. Her siblings; Sheryl Champagne and her husband Roy, Dawn Thibodeau and her husband Dan, Douglas Christensen, and Janice Niemczyk; sister-in-law Cheryl Christensen and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
