Christine Lichanec's Obituary
Christine Lichanec, 95, wife of the late Andrew Lichanec, went to be with Jesus at her home on Monday, May 14, 2007. She was born in Hatfield, MA on May 18, 1911, daughter of the late Adam and Anna (Potucek) Filip. She was raised in Bridgeport, CT. Christine was retired as a supervisor of food services at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was also a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and a past member and officer of the Eastern Star. Christine leaves behind her son Leonard and his wife Catherine; and her daughter Ellen, all of Willington, CT. She also leaves her grandchildren, Linda Boor Brotcke and her husband Bret, Lisa and Daniel Lichanec, and Jeffrey Carlson; her great grandchildren, Sarai Lichanec, Ann Brotcke McNamara and her husband Rian, and Luke, Stephen, and Jacob Brotcke; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Stella Lichanec of Rockville, CT; a sister-in-law, Susan Lichanec Karlik of Somerville, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Joan Boor and her husband Raymond. A funeral will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 with a procession forming at 9 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT, followed by a Church Service at 10 A.M. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, West Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT. Calling hours are on Friday from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
