Christine Michalec's Obituary
Christine “Tina” Michalec, 84, of Buckley Highway, Union, CT, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs, CT. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Koday) Hornacek. Tina was the former vice president of John the Jackman Co., Inc. in Stafford Springs, and was a member of the Nipmuck Trail Riders Snowmobile Club for over 30 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Martin D. Michalec of Union, CT; two children, Nancy Cleary and her husband Peter of East Lyme, CT, and Gary Michalec and his wife Rosemarie of Willington, CT; two grandchildren, Jason Michalec of Willington, CT, and Courtney Goldenberg and her husband Matthew of Berkeley, CA; three sisters, Elizabeth Figura, Ann Willis and her husband John, and Lillian Willis and her husband Bill; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Stephen, John, William, and Francis Hornacek. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT. Calling hours are on Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
