Christine K. Sears' Obituary
Christine K. Sears, 94, of Flushing, NY and formerly of Willington, CT passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2022. She was born in Stafford Springs,CT, daughter of the late Stefan and Anna (Sekela) Krc. Christine worked at Warren Woolen Co. in Stafford Springs for many years. She was formerly a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Stafford Springs, and later Willington Baptist Church. She was an avid vegetable gardener, enjoyed raising chickens and pigs. Above all she loved her family dearly and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Christine is survived by her three children, Maryann Feld and her husband Jay of Flushing, NY; Bob Sears of Stafford Springs; Carol Jeffs and her husband Ray of Hampton, NH. Her seven grandchildren included Winfred L. Sears, III and his wife Jully, and her daughter Francesca, Stephen Sears, Jennifer Castro, Matt Sears and his wife Samantha, Robbie Sears, Dan Jeffs and his wife Beth, and Melinda Gutermuth and her husband Matt. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; and one nephew, Joe Kirch of Stafford Springs. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Winfred L. Sears, Sr; son, Winfred L. Sears, Jr.; and brother, John Kirch. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 10 AM at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will follow the service at Stafford Springs Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 5 PM to 7 PM at the funeral home.
