Christopher M. Chiarizio's Obituary
Christopher M. Chiarizio, 81, of Tolland, CT, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Rockville General Hospital. He was born in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Christy and Helen (Fisk) Chiarizio. He was predeceased by his sister, Rosanne Farrell.
Chris spent most of his career working for UConn as the paint department manager. A devoted fan, he was a great lover of UConn hockey and football, as well as both women’s and men’s basketball. Even more importantly, he never missed one of his grandchildren’s sporting events, always showing up with enthusiasm and pride.
Chris was a faithful member of River of Life Church in Tolland and was truly a man of God. He greatly enjoyed meeting with his friends daily at the Tolland Dunkin, where laughter and conversation were a regular part of his routine.
Chris is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sheila (Seibert) Chiarizio; children, Samantha Haeseler and her husband Daniel, Erin Chiarizio, and Joshua Chiarizio and his wife Caitlin; grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Allie, Kaitlyn and her partner Jeremy, Alex and his wife Toni, Caleigh, Zackary and his partner Aubrey, Caiden, Charlotte and Isla; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Cecelia, Jaxon, Hazel, Christopher, Gracelynn and Oliver; niece, Daveen Knipple; nephew, David Farrell; and many other family members in Maine and Florida.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., with a funeral service beginning at 4:00 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. Everyone attending is asked to please wear a sports jersey or dress casually in Chris’s honor.
