Dale Hannan's Obituary
Dale G. Hannan, 69, of Billings Rd., Somers, CT, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford, CT. He was born in Houlton, ME, son of the late Mervyn and Faye (Bither) Hannan. Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and retired having worked in customer service for Eastern Airlines and Canada Air - Bombardier Company. Dale is survived by his loving wife, soul mate, and best friend, Denise C. (Fournier) Hannan of Somers, CT; six children, Scott Hannan and his companion Tara Kelley of Ellington, CT, Wayne Hannan and his wife Lori of Somers, CT, Dorothy Forbes and her husband Patrick of Enfield, CT, Mark Hannan and his wife Oy of California, Eric Hannan of East Windsor, CT, and Heidi Bearse and her husband Phil of Vernon, CT; daughter-in-law, Wendy Hannan and her fianc Jeff Spak of Stafford Springs, CT; 17 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Vivian Fortier and her husband Earl of Florida, Vina Sawyer of Maine, and Barbara Smith and her husband Ervin of Maine; a very special sister-in-law, Evelyn Hannan of Somers, CT; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dog and faithful companion, Coty. He was predeceased by six brothers, Gerald, Blaine, Paul, Cedric, Keith, and Chester Hannan. The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses at the Suffield House and St. Francis Hospital for the care they gave Dale. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dales life on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 11 A.M. at the Somersville Congregational Church, Maple St., Somers, CT. Burial will be held privately at the family?s convenience. Memorial donations may be made to the Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canon Rd., Kanab, UT 84741, or to any other animal no kill society.
