Dana Bachiochi's Obituary
Dana Bachiochi, 64, died Monday, January 5, 2015, in his home in Anchor Point, Alaska. Born October 16, 1950, in Stafford Springs, CT, he was the son of Raphael Bachiochi and the late Marilyn (Caywood) Bachiochi. He lived the majority of his life in Stafford Springs before retiring to Alaska in 2008. In addition to his father, Dana leaves behind his wife, Gibby Bachiochi; his three children, Matthew Bachiochi and his wife Kathleen, Kelly Chollet and her husband Eddie, and Mark Bachiochi; his former wife, Kathleen Bachiochi; his sister, Rae Lynn Skelley; his five grandsons, Mathis, Connor, Aiden, Owen, and Luke; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. His love of life and sense of humor made him a much loved presence in the community. Dana taught in the Stafford School System for 30 years, where he was a soccer coach, set designer for the drama club, advisor to the yearbook, and head of the Fat Tuesday Club. A lover of nature, he developed his own travel company Alaska Tours by Dana, was a member of the Mt. Tom and Burke Mountain ski patrols, was an active member in the Stafford Fish and Game Club, the Lions Club, the Stafford Arts Commission, and Boy Scout Troop 81. A devout man, he was a lifelong member of St. Edward Parish. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015, from 2-5 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, January 12, 2015, at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately.
